Bldg. 49

At 9:01 p.m., a Winema student noticed that $65 had been stolen from his wallet. He told the officer that he suspected a male whom he had seen in the vicinity of the wallet while it was on a chair. The suspect was interviewed and denied the claims.

Theft from Vehicle

Purple Parking Lot

At 8:10 p.m., a Public Safety officer responded to a report of stolen stereo equipment from a vehicle. The student told the officer that between the hours of 12:45 p.m. and 4:50 p.m., someone had taken an AM/FM CD player, subwoofers and a 400 watt amplifier from the trunk of his car. The total value of the items stolen was $190. No suspect was identified.

Criminal Mischief

Bldg. 48 & Bldg. 49

Around 7 a.m., a Public Safety officer noticed graffiti on a section of concrete near Bldg. 49 and on a garbage can outside of Bldg. 48. The two tags were both made with a stencil to resemble the Batman villain, the Joker. The exact graffiti has appeared twice before on campus.

Theft from Vehicle

Orange Parking Lot

At 12:49 p.m., a student reported to Public Safety dispatch that her purse had been taken from the back seat of her truck. The contents included her driver’s license, school I.D., insurance documents, and her car key with a wireless remote.

Campus Policy Violation

Bldg. 2

At 1:35 p.m., an officer spoke to a woman regarding a possible stalker. The officer spoke to the man who had been following her, explaining Chemeketa’s zero-tolerance policy regarding stalking. Public Safety officers and the woman are working on a plan to ensure her safety on campus.

Theft from Vehicle

Green Parking Lot

Around 9:30, a Public Safety officer responded to a call from a female who reported that her coat had been stolen from her car. She had draped the coat over her laptop in the front seat, but only the coat had been taken.
