On April 24, 2019, Chemeketa Community College had its annual Earth Day event.

The event was a miniature club fair, as well as an opportunity for Oregon businesses and organizations to explain how they are environmentally friendly.  Also, Caesar The No Drama Llama made an appearance and students from the Chemawa Indian School came to perform native dance and songs.

Dom Williams, a student at the event, had this to say, “I think we should start recycling and picking up our trash more because we’re a big contributor to our pollution. We have to save the ocean being big examples of garbage patches.” Don’t forget to plant trees, recycle, and overall do anything you can to make the Earth one step closer to being healthier.
