Feb. 1

Criminal Mischief – Bldg. 9
At 5 p.m., Public Safety officers arrived after a custodian reported graffiti in first-floor men’s restroom. The graffiti was later removed.

Criminal Mischief – Bldg. 8
Another custodial report sent a Public Safety officer to investigate graffiti at 5:05 p.m., also located in a first-floor men’s restroom.

Feb. 2

Theft from Vehicle – Green Lot
Public Safety responded to an automotive break-in at 8:25 p.m. The car’s owner had left his car at 4:30 and immediately called Public Safety when he returned. Among the items reported stolen were a stereo and an iPhone. The case was handed over to the police. Students are reminded not leave valuables in plain sight in their vehicles.

Feb. 3

Theft – Green Lot
At 4:52, a found wallet was turned into the Public Safety office. When the wallet was later claimed, the owner reported that $300 was missing.

Theft – Bus Loop
The theft of a bicycle wheel was investigated at 4:34 p.m. The wheel had been taken from a bicycle on a bike rack sometime between 7 a.m. and 4:20 p.m.

Feb. 5

Criminal Mischief – Bldg. 48
At 6:43 am, an officer was dispatched to look into the report of racially offensive graffiti inside of an elevator. It was removed and is currently under investigation.

Theft – Bldg. 7
At 12:37 p.m., Public Safety received a report of a theft in the men’s locker room. When an officer responded, he observed that a padlock on a locker had been cut. The thief reportedly stole a watch, knife, and the contents of a wallet.

Feb. 6

Theft – Bldg. 8-212
An officer arrived at 8:57 a.m. to a call reporting the theft of computer equipment. The equipment was taken sometime between Jan. 30 and Feb. 2 but had gone either unnoticed or unreported.

Feb. 10

Theft from Vehicle
At 2:19 p.m., an officer responded to a complaint of an automotive break-in and subsequent theft from inside the car. The owner of the vehicle told the officer that he would need time to investigate what had been stolen, as he is living out of his car and it contains many items.
