How do you balance school and softball?
I stay on top of school work so I don’t have to worry about it when we’re traveling to and from games.
How do you mentally prepare yourself when going up to bat?
I go up there visualizing my strike zone, and if it’s there I swing. If you get frustrated, you won’t perform your best and it won’t be effective.
As a freshman, what are you looking forward to next year? What are your plans?
I’m focusing more on schoolwork and getting good grades because then I will be able to go somewhere better with more experience in my back pocket.
What advice would you give to other athletes while they are striving toward their a goals?
Be patient. Don’t get ahead of yourself. Stay focused, and work hard even through your struggles.
