President Howard reflects on beginnings

In honor of national Count Your Buttons Day on Oct. 21, Chemeketa Press instructional editor Stephanie Lenox read a small collection of poems for Soapbox Poetry.
Jessica Mehta, a poet and author from Oregon, recently came to Chemeketa to share her work with the community.
“Poetry is something that is often overlooked; it’s not something a lot of people are familiar with,” said Allison Tobey, an English instructor at Chemeketa.
